1. Your inner child

The more we grow older, the more we tend to forget our inner child.
Not being able to let go of the past and constantly worrying about the future, we cannot enjoy the present moment like we used to as children.
We don’t play anymore — we have become very serious, being focused solely on our jobs, how much money we make and the possessions we buy.
We don’t do things because we enjoy them, but only because we expect something out of them.
Not surprisingly, we experience immense sadness and misery, and only once we come in touch with our inner child, will we be able to play again, have fun and laugh, savoring every moment existence brings us on our way.

2. Your uniqueness

Many people think that they are unimportant, not having anything of beauty to contribute to this world, and hence feel that life has no meaning and purpose.
The truth, however, is that each and every human being is unique his or her own way, and this is what gives beauty to existence — if we were all the same, life would be a sheer monotony, something to be bored of.
Although you, just like every other human being, are not perfect, you are still unique and can offer plenty of gifts to the world that can have a positive impact on it.

3. Your part in nature

In the modern world, where people live in big cities of concrete, they feel alienated and disconnected from nature. They feel separate to the natural world, and they can’t relate to it.
But since we are intimately connected to nature, whether we consciously realize it or not, this has a lot of negative consequences to our happiness and overall well-being, as psychological research has continually proven.

By spending more time in nature, we can regain this sense of connectedness, and we’ll start feeling immediately better — we’ll feel calmer, happier and more at peace with ourselves and those around us.
